The legendary Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute” Vegas residency show CONTINUES ON in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.
Music icon Neil Diamond is one of the best-selling and most iconic singer/songwriters in rock and pop music history.
More than just being one of the best-selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the songs of a generation — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.
In early 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences throughout the world through tribute artist Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.
Ask Siri “who is the top Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll hear the same name.
Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.
In the spring of 1974, his parents moved the family from New York City to Las Vegas, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.
Garrett went on to see him multiple times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.
In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from lead singer of a cover band to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his childhood heroes.
In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by Paul Revere, leader of “The Raiders” to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.
What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a long-term hit show.
By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to go independent.
He began a steady touring schedule, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”
He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.
Garrett has also received multiple accolades, Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show Las Vegas front row seats including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”
“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.
On May 19, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.
Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.
It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.
Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..
